Three or four times a month Cruz & I get together with some other military wives and their kids. All of the kids are between 10 and 16 months old (well besides one that was just born in December). Usually we just get together at each others houses but today we met at the aquarium. Not everyone was able to make it but since we had 6 of us there we decided at the end to try and get a group picture on the green screen. I'm putting one of the pictures I took on here and this weekend when I get the professional pictures I will post them too. With the professional pictures they took out the green screen and put a fish background on it instead, it's pretty cute. Notice how Cruz is just as big as the rest of the kids and he's the youngest. The next youngest kid is 3 months older then him ha! Happy Friday everyone!!!

Cruz is slowly starting to walk with his push toys and he started pulling himself up to things yesterday. He walks pretty good if you hold his hands and he's starting to walk a little bit around the furniture. I caught a quick video of him pushing his train yesterday morning but it's not very long. There's also a quick video of him laughing, I can never seem to watch the "giggle" videos enough!
Not much is new here, Cruz had the runs from Friday thru Tuesday so we didn't have a very exciting weekend. He finally started feeling better yesterday. Less then a month and we'll be back in Nebraska to celebrate Cruz's birthday, gosh that doesn't seem right! Seems like he was just born. Anyways, we got Jake a ticket to come home too, Cruz and I will be home for a week and Jake is gonna be home for a long weekend. We can't wait to see everyone again!

Snow Day
We actually got some snow today! You'd think we got a blizzard by the way people act out here but we only got probably a half inch. Further inland from us got around 4 inches or so. Last night before it even started snowing all the schools were closing and even some businesses were closing, and then this morning everything was closing. They said the grocery stores were nuts last night with people trying to stock up on food and stuff, like they were gonna be snowed in for days ha! I guess when you only see snow once every couple of years you don't know what to expect. Jake and I said these people would never survive in Nebraska!
Jake had a long weekend because of Martin Luther King Day so he actually doesn't have to be back to work till tomorrow so we spent the whole day hanging out at home. We took Cruz out in the snow for a bit and he really didn't know what to think. He's seen snow when we were in Nebraska but he's never been out in it when it was actually snowing. He just kinda sat there and looked at us like we were crazy for having him outside when it was so cold and he didn't quite understand why all the white stuff kept hitting him in the face. It was cute though:) I really never thought we'd see snow out here this year so the poor kid didn't even have any snow boots or anything. Next year when we're back living in Nebraska we'll have to invest in some snow pants and boots! Here's a few pictures of snowy North Carolina!

Basketball
Well Cruz is doing something new every day it seems. He definitely keeps Jake & I entertained. He started saying mama this weekend, I still need to get that on video. He's crawling all over the place and he's getting so fast! You can look away for one second and turn around and he's gone. He's pulling himself up on everything but only to his knees, I'm sure it won't be long before he's up on his feet and cruising around the furniture.
There's a video below from last night of Cruzer shooting hoops with the basketball toy Uncle Josh and Aunt Kara got him for Christmas...

Crawling
Cruz decided to start crawling the day we left Nebraska in the Atlanta airport. Too bad he couldn't have started a day earlier so everyone could see it when we were home! Here's a video from this morning.

Nebraska visit
We've had a really good visit here in Nebraska. We've spent a lot of time with family and just hanging out and relaxing. We did take Cruz to see Elmo Live yesterday at the Qwest Center. He loved all the bright lights and the characters dancing and singing. We are heading back to North Carolina on Monday morning and probably won't be back to Nebraska again until March. It was great seeing everyone and once again we didn't get to see a lot of people so hopefully we'll be able to see more of you when we're home in March.
