Well it hasn't taken long for Cruz to get the hang of walking. It's crazy to think he just started walking a week ago and he's already walking this good. I took some video outside today that I'm gonna post on here. I split the video in two since it was so long. Other then walking not too much is new with Cruz, o besides his latest word has been Hat, he goes crazy when he sees a hat and all you hear is "hat, hat, hat, hat".

Finally Walking!!!

Well finally at 14 1/2 months Cruz decided to start walking! We knew he was getting close and Jake was so afraid he was gonna walk when we were in Nebraska but he waited till we get back here and Daddy could see! We were just hanging out in the living room tonight and all of the sudden he took a few steps from the coffee table over to his toy, normally he'd get down and crawl over to it and pull himself back up at the toy. So then we started pulling the toy away from him and he'd keep walking towards the toy. Finally after a few times of doing that he was walking across the room from Jake to Me. Here's a couple videos put into one of him walking!!!

Nebraska & Kinslee

Cruz & I had a really nice visit in Nebraska. We of course didn't get to see everyone that we wanted to but at least we'll be home for good in about 3 months so we won't have to worry about trying to see 50 people in 6 days:) I'm going to be coaching Junior High Volleyball in Cedar this fall so Cruz & I will be moving home by the end of August so I can start practice and then Jake will be home by September 15th. I spent some time while I was home looking at houses to buy in Fremont, I did find one that I like so we're hoping it stays on the market a couple months so we can put an offer in on it. Other then that we spent most of our time visiting family and friends. The main reason I wanted to come home was to see Karee's little girl, Kinslee, she was born March 6th, just a few days after I was in Nebraska last time. Cruz, Janelle, Mandy, Tana and I took a road trip to York on Sunday morning to see the Kerns! Kinslee is such a little doll, I can't wait to be back there so I can see her more often. I'll put some pictures of her below. Well Jake gets off tomorrow at noon for Memorial Day and doesn't go back to work till Wednesday morning so I'm not sure what we're gonna do this weekend. It's supposed to be warm out so maybe we'll head to the beach or let Cruz play in his baby pool in the back yard! I'll try to get some more pictures this weekend since I really didn't take many of him while we were in Nebraska to post on here! Hope everyone had a fun Memorial Day weekend!!!

Happy Mother's Day!!!

First of all Happy Mother's Day to all of you moms out there and to our moms, Carmen & Pam! Cruz & I are getting excited for our trip to Nebraska on Wednesday:) Cruz will be 14 months tomorrow and he still is not walking. He's so close and he takes more steps every day but he's just to stubborn to actually walk across the room. I really hope he doesn't start walking when we're back in Nebraska so Jake misses it! We'll have the video camera just incase though. He's really starting to talk more and more so that's been fun. This week he's been saying his "k" sounds really well, so car and truck actually sound like car and truck. Every morning when he gets up he gets so excited to see our dog, Tucker, and this morning when he saw him he said "Tucker" plain as day. Jake and I both looked at eachother and we're like "did he really just say that!" We've been working on Grandma and Grandpa for when we get to Nebraska but those are a little tough for him right now:) Well here's a few photos, the ones of him standing was one day this week when he was watching Elmo and the 3 of him & I together were from this morning when we were trying to get a "mother's day" shot and he was being goofy. I'm so glad we have a happy kid:)

Gosh I can't believe it's already May! Cruz & I will be home for a visit on the 13th then we should be moving home for good in either August or September. (Can you tell we are already counting down the days!) My really close girlfriend out here, Andrea, moved on Monday so that was a sad day for me. Her husband got stationed up in DC so they moved there, we're planning on going to visit them over the 4th of July since neither Jake or I have been to DC before. Plus it's a good excuse to see them one more time before we leave the coast. Well I haven't posted anything for awhile so here's a few videos. Cruz & I can't wait to see everyone next week!!!

Gotta love that laugh!

Part two of "If your happy and you know it"

Walking holding my hands of course, he's so stubborn!
