Counting

Cruz loves to count anything and everything these days. I bought him an Elmo place mat the other day so now we spend most of meal time counting things on the place mat. Here's a quick video from this morning, he can never remember to say "eight" but he counts to ten pretty well and is getting closer to counting to twenty every day. I'm thinking I should get an alphabet place mat so he does better at recognizing his letters!

Just wanted to write a quick post that we have the ultrasound scheduled for April 16th. Will Cruz have a baby brother or a baby sister???

Birthday Party #2

We celebrated Cruz's birthday with my side of the family today. We enjoyed having everyone over and Cruz had a lot of fun. Birthday Party

We celebrated Cruz's birthday today with Jake's family. We'll celebrate with my family next Sunday. We had a really good time today and Cruz wants to say thank you to everyone for coming to celebrate with us! Here's some pictures from today and I'll post more pictures next weekend.

Doctor Appointments

Cruz had his 2 year check up yesterday. Our big boy weighs 34 1/2 lbs and is 36 1/2 inches tall. That puts him in the 85th percentile for both height and weight. He seems to be right on track for a typical two year old. He's finally starting to put together some two word phrases and he pretty much repeats any single word you say. He still talks plenty of his own little language that I really wish I could understand sometimes:) He loves to count, he will count anything he's playing with and can count to 6 very well on his own. We're working on his ABC's, if you sing a few letters and stop he'll tell you what letter is next but he won't try and sing the song himself yet.

On Wednesday Jake & Cruz joined me at my doctors appointment so we could hear Cruz's little brother or sister's heartbeat for the first time. The heart rate was in the 160s which is right around where Cruz's heart rate was when I was this far along with him. Everything is going really good with my pregnancy and I'll already be 14 weeks along on Thursday. The second pregnancy sure does go quicker then the first, and you start showing a lot earlier too!

We are celebrating Cruz's birthday the next two Sunday's, it's so hard to believe he will be 2 on next Thursday already! Here are a couple recent pictures and videos of him.
