Levin's Room

We finally have Levin's room together for the most part. I at least feel more prepared now if he comes early! We had a little scare on Friday so I really pushed Jake this weekend to some things done that I wanted done before Levin arrives! On Thursday I was having contractions about 10 minutes apart all day but I just figured they were braxton hicks contractions, no big deal. Well then on Friday I was having about 5 or 6 a hour most of the day but by the time Jake got home from work I had called the doctor because they had gotten worse and they wanted me right in to the hospital to get monitored. Well by the time we got to the hospital they were anywhere from 1 1/2 to 3 minutes apart. They gave me a shot of something that sped up my heart and made me feel shaky but it makes the uterus relax so after the second shot of that the contractions were finally almost gone and we got to home after being here for 5 hours. I've spent the whole weekend inside since it's so hot out and I've been trying to relax as much as possible. I'll be 34 weeks this Wednesday so I definitely need to wait a few more weeks before I have him! I'll try to keep everyone posted but hopefully we won't have any more hospital visits before he's born! Here's some pictures of his almost finished room :)

Potty Training and 32 weeks along!

We've had a big week in our house, Monday morning I woke up and decided it was time to start potty training Cruz. He's had his accidents but for the most part he's doing really really good. On Wednesday he actually went all day going pee pee in the potty and never peed his pants once. He did poop in his pants once but I'm hoping that part comes in the next week! It will be so nice not having two in diapers once Levin gets here!

I was 32 weeks pregnant yesterday and I had a doctors appointment today with an ultrasound. Levin is definitely a big boy. He's measuring 34 weeks and 6 days and already weighs 5lbs 7ozs! Nothing has been said about moving up my due date, sounds like they're just gonna play it by ear and see when we get closer if they'll induce early or whatnot. Jake wasn't able to get off work so I took my mom with me to the ultrasound, I think she enjoyed seeing her new grandson, especially in 3D! Here's a few pictures they got of him today, he's definitely got Cruz's chubby cheeks! We can't wait to meet him:)

28 week check up

I went in yesterday for my 28 week check up and when the doctor measured my stomach I was measuring at 33 weeks. Yikes! So I went in for an ultrasound today and by the measurements of Levin's bones, stomach, head and other things they measured it looks like he's actually 30 weeks along. Not sure what this will mean for me exactly, I'll talk to my doctor more on Monday. They may just move my due date up so I'll be having an August baby instead of a September one. While I was in there today they did a 3D ultrasound on me which was so neat. I think Levin looks just like Cruz already, he has his same nose, mouth, chin and cheeks! I put a picture of Levin and a picture of Cruz when he was a couple days old together below and they really look alike. Seeing him in 3D really makes me anxious to meet him in person! I'll post more later when I find out more, enjoy the pictures!!!

Baby Name & Cruz update

I'm 24 weeks along today so 16 more to go before we get to meet our baby boy! We decided on a name and this time we're sharing it before he's born, his name will be Levin Lynn. I found Levin on a name website when I was looking for Cruz's name and it's always stuck with me. So this time when we were looking at names Levin was the only name that just stuck with both Jake and I and the only name we could agree on! Lynne is my middle name and Lynn is my Dad's middle name and also my Grandpa's first name (plus other people in my extended family have that as a middle name). And since we have Cruz Christian (Jake's middle name) we thought Levin Lynn would be perfect:) Slowly but surely we are getting ready to have another baby in the house. We need to exchange Cruz's crib that was recalled for a new one and then Levin will have all the furniture for his room, I just need to decide if I'm getting new bedding and then if we need to paint or not. I really can't believe how quick this pregnancy has gone and of course summers always fly by so September 1st will be here before we know it!

Cruz had tubes put in this last Friday, hopefully this will help all those ear infections he was getting! He's sleeping like a champ in his new big boy bed, I never thought the transition would be so smooth. Even at nap time he climbs right in and I don't hear from him or see him till he wakes up. The next big thing with him will be potty training, which I hope to get done this summer before Levin gets here. He loves everything about the potty, potty movies, potty books, watching everyone and anyone use the potty, even sitting on the potty with his clothes on. But he hates sitting on the potty with his clothes and diaper off! He'll cry if we try to get him to sit on it so I guess we need to get that tackled first before we start the training! Wish me luck!!!

Cruzer's Big Boy Bed

This week two things happened that made us move Cruz to a big boy bed. For one his crib was recalled this week so we are taking it back and getting a new one for the baby. And for two he figured out how to crawl out of his crib this morning so we decided it was definitely time to put him in a big boy bed. We bought bunk beds today and got the bottom bunk put together for now. If we have a 3rd kid the boys will probably share a room until one of them wants to go to the bedroom in the basement so we figured bunk beds probably were the best way to go. Anyways Cruz helped us pick them out and enjoyed testing all the beds every place we went. He helped daddy take apart his crib and was so excited to have his new bed in his room! He kept asking if he could go nigh night, it was too cute:) He's now been down for over an hour and we haven't heard a peep out of him. Hopefully he adjusts well to the new bed! I on the other hand had a little bit harder time seeing my baby in a bed like that. Wow he has grown too fast! I think my husband thought I was crazy for crying after we laid him down but I'm blaming it on the pregnancy hormones :) Anyways here are some pictures of him with his big boy bed!

Cruz is having a Baby BROTHER!

I had my ultrasound today and it's another little boy!:) Everything looks healthy with him and my due date is still September 1st. Here are some pictures of the little guy and a video. The video is kinda long but in the middle you can see him trying to do the somersault, too cute. Now it's time to start decorating his room, yay!!!
